How To Join the Hawaii VOAD/COADs:
RETURNING MEMBERS
We ask everyone to fill out the applications annually. This allows us to track your contacts and your interest. Please use this Google form located here to fill out an annual renewal form
NEW MEMBERS
We are always happy to have more organizations to join us at the virtual table. The process looks like this:
Step 1:
You fill out an application. The application is a Google form located here. If you need a hard copy application instead of a form, let us know by emailing us at ENTER EMAIL ADDRESS HERE, and we will share that as well. We are looking to include everyone who wants to participate and is appropriate to participate in VOAD. So make sure you tell us a little about who you are and what you represent.
Step 2:
Once we receive an application, we will take that application to the board for a vote. The board meets quarterly, so be patient with us.
Step 3:
When you are approved, we will send you an invoice for $25 for your membership through the end of the year.
VOAD is an association of organizations that mitigate and alleviate the impact of disasters, provides a forum promoting cooperation, communication, coordination, and collaboration, and fosters more effective delivery of services to communities affected by disasters. Hawai’i VOAD membership consists of locally based organizations and local representatives of National organizations. Our mission is to strengthen the capabilities of organizations working together in our State/Territory to respond to communities affected by disaster. Hawai`i VOAD member organizations cover a broad range of missions and technical expertise and adhere to the 4 Cs: Cooperation, Communication, Coordination, and Collaboration.
